Mom aka Abu is a 4x cancer survivor. Breast in ’94. Ovarian in '11. Breast again in '15. Splenic in '18. Each time dealing with surgery, chemo, radiation the weight of it all, the fear, the exhaustion, and the uncertainty. And each time, she made a choice. She once told me, “It’s all mindset. I refuse to acknowledge the cancer in me. I choose living over the alternative.” Abu didn’t deny reality she chose how much power it was allowed to have. She focused on living. On healing. On faith. On moving forward. She became a motivator to so many walking their own difficult path and reminds us that strength isn’t loud sometimes it’s quiet, steady, and deeply intentional. It’s a daily decision. We Love you Mom. MODA FOCA 83 and counting!
